Hill makes up nine spots in strong Sunday recovery at QR
BJR rounds out the racing at QR with a good drive from Cam Hill who came through from 24th to finish in 15th.
The team's focus switches to the Enduro Cup now, with a test day agt Queensland Raceway on Tuesday before the first event at Tailem Bend next month (11-13 September).

Cameron Hill (#14 Dare Racing GR Supra) qualified 24th
Macauley Jones (#96 JWL Racing GR Supra) qualified 27th
Heimgartner had a great start, putting himself into the top ten. He was the first to stop out of the BJR team and didn’t have the tyre life at the end of the race to stick with the top ten.
Hill had an incredible run coupled with a good strategy to make up a total of nine positions in the race. He was also struggling a little with the tyre at the end and stuck with Heimgartner to the flag.
The 96 crew were still trying to find the right balance for the JWL Racing Supra. Something that they’ll put a lot of effort behind on the test day.

“Had a good start, got up to ninth and then just reversed my way through the field after that unfortunately so not ideal. Feel like there’s something maybe not right with the car, but overall, not a terrible weekend. Just need to keep chipping away and the test day will be good to try and figure some stuff out.”

“The day was okay in the end. We qualified quite poorly which is a real shame. We thought we were chipping away with the quali speed, but the race car has been strong all weekend. We moved forward in every race, and we moved forward nine spots to finish 15th in that last one. So, I feel like we're pretty happy with our race car but not with our quali car which is the opposite of Perth. So, lots of learnings, lots of things to try on Tuesday at the test day.”

“Tough weekend overall here at Queensland Raceway. We struggled again in quali today and started last. Made up a few spots at the start of the race but we just struggled to keep them and dropped back and finished 24th. Test day on Tuesday so we’ll see what we can find to make the car a bit faster for The Bend.”
