SpongeBob SquarePants called up for Supercars racing debut

SpongeBob SquarePants, whose boating licence is always just out of reach, will now have the chance to make his Australian racing debut at the Albert Park circuit.

Pizza Hut Racing are adopting the look of the world’s favourite animated fry cook for the Australian Grand Prix, with Macauley Jones sporting a SpongeBob SquarePants- themed livery.

The Bikini Bottom local will be a standout on the Supercars grid with the bright yellow look for the #96 Brad Jones Racing Camaro.

Celebrating 25-years of shenanigans of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, Pizza Hut has excitingly aligned with the iconic franchise.

Jones, who grew up watching the Bikini Bottom crew, is overjoyed to bring the characters to the race track with Pizza Hut Racing.

Not only will their Supercar take on a new-look for the Melbourne SuperSprint but their menu is also making a SpongeBob-inspired update.

Launching from April 3rd, Pizza Hut Australia will feature a top-secret, world-first ice cream flavour that’s weirdly irresistible.

The SpongeBob SquarePants inspired Pizza Hut range will also include a brand-new pizza flavour, wings drizzled with a tantalisingly tasty and tangy sauce (also available to be added to any of your favourite pizzas on the menu), a second deliciously punchy ice cream flavour and a fabulously fruity soft drink.

Stay tuned for more details on the range.

Supercars are on track at the Australian Grand Prix from Thursday, with races scheduled every day until Sunday.
