Mixed Practice results for Brad Jones Racing at Sandown 500
Brad Jones Racing wrapped up Friday practice at the Sandown 500 with constructive outcomes and clear areas to build on ahead of qualifying.
With two tyre compounds in play throughout Friday’s running, true comparative pace remains difficult to gauge across the field.
Even so, the team believes there is more speed to unlock from all four cars ahead of tomorrow’s qualifying.
Bryce Fullwood led the BJR contingent in Practice 2, finishing the session in 18th.
The team will anaylse the data overnight and look to come out firing on Saturday.
Cars return to the track for Qualifying at 11:50 AEDT, followed by Race 30 at 15:20.

SUPERCARS QUOTEBOARD
Andre Heimgartner
Supercars driver, #8 R&J Batteries Camaro
"Interesting day today — struggling a bit with the setup and trying to find the window. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. It looks like a dry weekend, so we’ll keep searching and see how we go."
Bryce Fullwood
Supercars driver, #14 Middy's Racing Camaro
“It’s good to be back here at Sandown. The weather’s awesome – though being Melbourne, I’m sure it’ll change soon enough. We just ran through our program today. We don't really know where we stand competitively. We’ve got a couple of different compounds this weekend – same as the Gold Coast – so I'm looking forward to seeing how we get on tomorrow. There’s plenty of data to sift through tonight and a few improvements to make, so we’ll see where we land."
Macauley Jones
Supercars driver, #96 Pizza Hut Racing Camaro
“My car was a little bit average today. I felt like I was struggling with the balance – it’s pretty loose around here and then on the greens it’s very pushy. So it’s a little bit of a work in progress. We’ll see what the night brings with a few changes, have a review and a reset, then figure out what we can improve for tomorrow."
Jaxon Evans
Supercars driver, #12 SCT Motorsport Camaro
“Today was challenging to say the least. We’re struggling a bit with the car feel at the moment and it seems like that’s the case across most of our cars. We’ll take a look at a few things tonight, regroup, and go again tomorrow."
