BJR confirms engineering line-up as Toyota program takes shape
Brad Jones Racing is pleased to announce its engineering line-up for the 2026 Supercars season, unveiling a refined team structure designed to support growth during a pivotal period for the Albury-based squad.
As BJR prepares to field three Toyota GR Supra Supercars in 2026, several key adjustments have been made within the engineering department to strengthen performance and build long-term depth.
Highly respected race engineer Phil Keed will continue his role within the team, moving across the garage to partner with Andre Heimgartner.
While 2026 will mark the first season as race engineers for both Jason Bonney and Randall Chua, the pair bring significant experience to their new roles.
Bonney has worked closely alongside Keed for several years as a data engineer and has previously stepped into the race engineer role on multiple occasions.
Bonney will be partnered with Cameron Hill on Car 14.
Chua also boasts extensive engineering experience, both within Brad Jones Racing and externally, and now takes the next step in his career.
Last year, Chua was the data engineer for Macauley Jones and coming into 2026 he will assume the main engineering role on that car.
Julian Stannard returns to a performance engineering role, a position he held prior to 2023, where he will oversee multiple projects across the team.
Paul Scalzo will continue as Head of Engineering at Brad Jones Racing and will remain assigned to car 96 as a data engineer.
This refreshed engineering structure positions Brad Jones Racing strongly as it enters a new era with Toyota in the Supercars Championship.

“We had a need to restructure our engineering department coming into 2026, obviously with going down to three cars and then developing the Toyota program in our team. I think what we’ve achieved with this restructure is playing into our strengths.
“We have a lot of fire power in this team and I have the confidence that they can achieve the goals we’re mapping out.
“I have a lot of belief in giving people the opportunities and presenting pathways through our team, and both Jason and Randall have proven themselves countless times. They’re both not only capable but highly skilled and have worked incredibly hard for our team. I’m excited to see what Jase and Randy can do.
“This is a massive year for our team. I can’t overstate that. We all feel the pressure but that’s when our crew does their best work. I’m so proud of how this Toyota project is coming along and can't wait to get racing.”
