Bathurst 1000 winner Nick Percat heads into his fourth year with Brad Jones Racing. In 2018 he debuted the new model ZB Commodore, and in 2020 BJR’s 100th COTF Chassis.

Back to where it started, Percat competed in go-karting (and occasionally still does) then advanced to Formula Ford, winning the national title in 2009 and in the process breaking Steven Richards’ record for most race wins. 

He then progressed to V8 Supercars Development Series in 2010 and finished fourth in the standings, earning him an endurance drive alongside Garth Tander in 2011.

The duo claimed victory at the Bathurst 1000, Percat becoming the first rookie winner in 30 years. He remained part of HRT’s endurance line-up while he continued to race full-time in the Dunlop Series until the end of 2012. 

In 2013, Percat competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup and placed second, racking up a record amount of pole positions and fastest laps. 

He received a full-time Supercars call up in 2014 with Walkinshaw Racing and in his debut season Nick recorded another podium finish (3rd) at the Bathurst 1000. He rounded out the year 12th in the championship - the highest placed rookie. When Walkinshaw Racing reduced their cars from 2 to 4, Nick found himself at Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport for the 2015 & 2016 seasons.  

2016 provided a number of highlights for Nick, winning the season opener Clipsal 500 in Adelaide and again stepping on to the podium at the Bathurst 1000. Percat finished the season in 18th position.

In 2017 Nick joined BJR and found himself working alongside former team-mates Tim Slade and Tim Blanchard. His first season produced mixed results as the team’s season was marred with accidents, many out of their control. The highlight for Nick and the team was the podium finish at Darwin. 

Nick finished off 2019 with two 4th positions, three top fives and twenty top ten finishes, along with a career best result in the Supercars Championship finishing 9th overall. He’ll be working with his engineer and #8 crew in 2020 to get on to that podium once again.
