THE WORD FROM NICK

“The middle stint was tough for us, we were caught behind Winterbottom and around this place it really hurts your tyres. I knew we had a good, fast car so after our second stop we can out in clear air and started to chip away at those front guys.”

“The guys came across the radio in those final laps telling me I needed to save fuel. In the final lap they said to use the buffer we had to the car behind as there was a good chance we weren’t going to make it otherwise. So the whole last lap I used about 20% throttle and rolled my way home.”

“Today’s result is an awesome credit to the guys and girls in the team. We had an issue with the car yesterday and the guys worked hard to find and fix it overnight and get us back up where we needed to be. These guys just don’t give up, they are pure racers and continue to work hard to get me up the front. I am leaving Sydney pretty happy with what we’ve achieved today and looking forward to getting into the endurance races ahead.”
