THE ENGINEERS WORD

“After the two practice sessions today, and having our co-drive Macauley on board for a few laps, we have a good gauge of our competitiveness and some strengths and weaknesses.”

“When the cars go good on a used tyre here, it generally means they will be strong in the race, and our team has proven that in previous years with a few podium finishes.”

“The ACDelco Commodore seems to have good stability in the faster, longer corners, which there are plenty of here at Sydney Motorsport Park. We need to keep in mind to give the drivers good rotation for those couple of slower ones too. So if you can get the balance right between it all, generally you’ll have a competitive car for the weekend.”

“We’ve rolled out with a reasonably fast car today, and hope to build on that more for tomorrows qualifying session and most importantly, the race.”
